Lex's Story

Lex Patrick was born and raised in rural South Carolina where he grew up on classic rock, folk, and country music. Lex's mind was born to wander and, even in his youthful years, he relied upon music as a means of escape. Listening to music — often loudly enough to scare the deer — remained his most precious refuge as he matured, in a distinctively immature fashion, into adulthood. At the age of 22, Lex made a sudden, yet resolute decision to work toward becoming a singer/songwriter. He bought a guitar, learned five chords, and began writing songs within months.

Over the next 12 years, Lex lived in seven states where he saw the good times and sorrows that shape a songwriter. Along the way, his musical palette developed to include an appreciation and interest in grunge, alternative and indie rock, and an array of niche styles. Lex’s love and respect for music continued to grow and, whenever he doubted his own ability to create, he simply forced himself to believe again.

Lex’s powerful personal experiences have been plentiful and unique, and his music reflects his life. His style is his own as he excitedly enters a new era in which he begins sharing polished work. For a more comprehensive telling of Lex's story,  listen to his debut album, "Moons and Rivers."
